We are pleased to announce that as of August 31, 2018, Baseline Telematics inc. has acquired Operasoft Inc.
For nearly 8 years, Operasoft and Baseline have been operating as sister companies, both wholly owned by their founder and CEO, Paul-André Savoie. Although the industries each company served were different, the underlying cloud, mobile and API technologies that powered their solutions were the same.
This transaction therefore has no material change regarding the ownership structure of Operasoft, with no change of control taking place.
Over the past 2 years both Baseline and Operasoft have been transitioning towards the same business model; developing business to business SaaS (Software as a Service) programs, marketed, sold and supported primarily through digital channels.
Operasoft has proudly been serving airport ground operations and over 100 municipalities across North America with its award winning SimpliCity solution, as well as dozens of seasonal service companies with it’s SimpliFi solution.

Operasoft’s services will continue to be provided by Baseline Telematics with the same high levels of service as were always provided before. Customers of SimpliFi and SimpliCity will not experience any changes with the exception that as of September 1st 2018, their invoices are now being sent from Baseline Telematics.
Although Baseline Telematics is focused on creating innovative connected insurance solutions, the acquisition of Operasoft has allowed for the creation of a revolutionary SmartCity solution which is planned to be launched in the coming months.
City.works is the latest innovation from Baseline Telematics. One of several innovative programs, this solution leverages over a decade of municipal operational excellence along with 5 years of developing revolutionary smartphone apps used by hundreds of thousands of users. City.works will soon be offered as a voluntary upgrade to our Operasoft SimpliCity clients throughout this upcoming winter season.
